Some property maintenance issues can be quickly and easily fixed yourself. Please check the following common problems and solutions before submitting a maintenance request:
No water
First contact your supplier to make sure there are no leaks or other issues disrupting the supply.
No gas
If you have no gas or no hot water, please contact Vector Gas to check if there is a fault in your area. You should also check the pilot light and relight it if it has gone out.
Blocked sinks and drains
Attempt to remove the blockage with a plunger or use a standard drain cleaner. When using a drain cleaner, make sure you follow the drain cleaner’s instructions.
No electricity
Check the fuses and safety switches at your electrical meter. Reset them if they are tripped. If the system trips again, switch off all your power points, reset the trips, and then turn the power points on one by one. This will determine if the problem is due to a faulty appliance. You should also contact your electricity supplier to check if there is an issue affecting your supply.
